    January 16, 2024

    Past President's Message

    Happy New Year AVHRA Members,

We hope you enjoyed a warm and wonderful holiday season! We appreciate everyone who could make it to the 2023 Employment Law Summit in December and are looking forward to bringing more programming to you this year. I wanted to thank you all for your support during the last two years during my Presidency. Your eagerness about the Human Resources field keeps me and your fellow HR professionals going when our positions challenge us. My position on the board has transitioned to Past President and I will continue throughout the next year to support AVHRA’s endeavors. You will be in great hands as the reins are passed to Verónica Gómez-Vilchis. As a reminder, send us HR job opportunities as we can post them on our website as well as send them out in our monthly newsletter.

    Thank you,

    Emily Vincent
    Past President

    President's Message

    Hello AVHRA Members!

My name is Verónica Gómez-Vilchis, and I am very excited to be stepping in as your 2024 AVHRA President. My passion for HR developed at Central Washington University where I work as a HR Business Partner. I stumbled upon the AVHRA board and over the years in attending programs, I started my tenure on the board as the College Liaison for the local CWU Student Chapter in Ellensburg, WA. It is important to keep our local HR students connected and engaged to ensure we are building a great foundation for our successors. As this year begins, we want to hear from you on any desired programs or training you or your organization would like to see throughout 2024. Please send us an email at info.avhra@gmail.com or send us a message on LinkedIn. We are looking forward to serving you this year.

    Thank you,

    Verónica Gómez-Vilchis
    AVHRA President
