AVHRA Newsletter July 2023

    July 30, 2023

    President's Message

    Happy July!

The warm weather has set in and we are well in to our summer months, vacations, and the beginning of Q3! 2023 has flown by and sooner than later 2024 will be knocking on our door. Don’t forget to register now for our upcoming membership event in July at Tap and Putt as we only have 14 spots left.

Some great Q3 reminders for you all!

    1. Budgeting season; are you up-to-date on your FLSA minimum salary requirements?
    2. ERISA Annual Report Form 5500 filing (may be filed through your insurance broker and/or retirement broker)
    3. Open Enrollment preparation with carriers or insurance broker
    4. Start preparations for your ACA 1094-C and 1095-C filings
    5. Annual educational training – does it need a facelift?

Q4 can be a very busy time of year and though the above items may be prep items, they are great to tackle and prep for during the summer months when days may be slow.

We hope you have all have splendid plans for the summer, even if it means a STAY-cation! Stay cool and hydrated!
    Emily Vincent
    AVHRA President

Leah Valverde, Manager of Learning and Talent Development at CWU – Learn your default interaction style and how to flex to bring out the best in yourself and others. An interaction style is a predictable pattern of behaviors that might be considered one’s usual way of being. While we are all a mix of all four styles, recognizing the default styles of yourself and others helps us flex our style to communicate more effectively with our colleagues, supervisors, direct reports, and teams.
