Hello HR community!

Thanksgiving in November. Yes, that’s what I’ve been thinking about lately. Fortunately, we are getting past the implementation phase with COVID strategies and it’s feeling like a recovery stage is upon us. I, for one, can hardly wait for an honest to goodness gathering of my family and friends; as my children used to say…like the olden days! Speaking of getting together, I’d like to invite you to a few in-person events!

AVHRA Wine Social: August 19, 2021, 5-7pm, Chateau Faire La Ponte Winery, Wenatchee. We’re buying the appetizers and the first glass of wine! Join HR colleagues and friends for an evening of food, fun, and networking!

Four-part/four-day workshop: Excellence in Management – A Nash Consulting Workshop. Will feature Michael Nash and Hana Butler: September 16, 17, 23, and 24. Great for managers, supervisors, leaders, owners, teams, and aspiring managers and leaders. I attended this series a few years ago and found it to be very useful. $650-$750 depending on how soon and how many you register.

Employment Law Update: December 2, 2021. Mark your calendars for this annual workshop. Erin McCool attorney with Ogden, Murphy, Wallace will again lead the slate of speakers to explore where we’ve been and where we’re headed in issues of employment law in Washington State. Details will be forthcoming.
