We have a stellar presentation line-up for South King County SHRM’s annual half-day event: Hot Topics for HR Professionals. Full information and registration is on Eventbrite, but the highlights are:
- Event is on Wednesday, September 20th, at Emerald Downs in Auburn, WA
- Registration and buffet lunch start at noon; program goes from 12:30pm-5:00pm (timed so attendees from all over the State can do a 1-day trip if they choose)
- Programs have been preapproved for 1.5 Business and 2.25 General credits through HRCI, and 3.75 Professional Development Credits (PDCs) through SHRM
We are particularly pleased to offer the strategic topic Creative Strategies for the Digital Recruiting Age by Jessica Miller-Merrell, a nationally acclaimed speaker who was featured at the 2017 SHRM Talent Conference. Her dynamic presentation earned a standing ovation there and she comes highly recommended. We know that the coveted Business Credits can be difficult to find, and we are happy to be able to serve our HR community this way. Our two other presentations also feature engaging and relevant topics by popular Washington State speaking duos Randy Littlefield and Lynda Ducharme (Workers’ Compensation Fraud and Abuse); and Chance Brimhall and Nancy Kasmar (Five Habits of Destructive HR Leaders).
Early Bird registration ends August 20 and Regular registration ends September 11. South King County SHRM Chapter members who register during Early Bird will be entered to win a ticket to the Washington State SHRM Conference on April 20, 2018, in Seattle (a $425 value!).
We are proud to offer high quality programming that provides both Business and General recertification credits and we feel these presentations have much to offer HR and business professionals.
