David Smith Bio:
David Smith leads the M+O technical team and is responsible for all M+O financial analysis and reinsurance marketing. David came to M+O after eight years at Aon Consulting, where he built and directed the underwriting team in Seattle, helped build and train the technical services unit in Portland, and established internal underwriting policies and procedures for both offices. David serves as a primary resource for disease management and wellness program analysis, claims data analytics, and network discount comparisons for M+O and has developed many proprietary financial modeling tools including trend analysis and IBNR calculator. David has fifteen years of experience in healthcare finance, and was the lead underwriter on the Washington Education Association, City of Seattle, and Oregon’s Public Employee Benefits Board.
