AVHRA is pleased to present "Angles of Leadership" This session will cover:

• Empathy, a critical leadership skill that helps build and sustain positive workplace relationships, foster diversity and inclusion, encourage cooperation and collaboration and facilitate conflict management
• Uncover what datapoints are most important in measuring progress for your DEIB efforts across the candidate and employee lifecycle

Mary A. Augustin has over 20 years of experience as a human resources professional. She has worked in the Human Resources field in a variety of industries, including government, health care, non-profits, and private industry. She has achieved the Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certification (SHRM-SCP) and has served as a volunteer leader in several roles in her local chapter and State Council for SHRM.

Mary specializes in the topics of Employee Engagement, Harassment, Board Training and Development, as well as Empathy and Culture in the Workplace.

Christina Tymony (she/her) is an HR professional with 15 years of experience spanning benefits, learning & development and recruiting. Over the last five years, she's been dedicated to supporting underrepresented communities by building and leading strategies focused on diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in Tech. Christina hails from Seattle, Washington and is an alumna of Seattle University.
